As a self-help writer, lifestyle coach, motivational speaker, and so forth, one of my favorite projects is this great Daily Motivational e-mail Message Service that I have. It is fun to awaken before the crack of dawn, every morning, and pen an exciting few words of wisdom to help others with their day ahead! It is a blessing to me, to write that stuff, and it is a blessing to my readers. Once when I was ill, and didn’t get the message out until mid-morning, I got bombarded with e-mails from concerned subscribers that they had hoped they didn’t “miss” that day’s e-mail! It was really flattering!

You need some daily words of wisdom, some quotes from famous people, and a few other tidbits to help inspire you to lose weight, work harder at your job or business, or to get out there and be more productive with your life!

“A goal is a dream with a deadline!” That’s a very precise and accurate statement made by a motivational speaker during one of his discourses. Motivational speakers are often hired by companies for varied purposes. They either conduct a management development program or undertake a training session. Most often, motivational speakers are also hired for announcing important management decisions, service initiatives or even product launches. The whole idea is to convey the all important message through an able orator, who would be able to put across the inherent essence of the information conveyed.

Speakers who can catapult their discourses to newer heights with generous use of wit and humour are most preferred. After all, some good humour acts as a suitable digestive for heavy and solid words of wisdom. Moreover, humour makes the session interesting and entertaining as well. If you have a truly witty orator, he will know how to transform a training session or a normal meeting into an unforgettable evening. However, the use of light-hearted touches in a serious event should be ideally executed by an expert orator, who knows how to prepare a mix that is just right. An inept speaker could just go overboard and dilute the seriousness of the event, altogether.

How do you select the Right Speaker?

Some important steps need to be considered when selecting a funny motivational speaker. These are:

1.Once you have decided on the primary purpose of the speech, you need to visit several websites and find a speaker who has delivered similar speeches in the past. If you are looking for a witty and humorous discourse, scour the websites of specific speakers who specialize in this category. In a nutshell, you need to look for a speaker who uses humour effectively and has handled something akin to your requirements.

2.You next need to find out about the groups he has actually addressed in the past. The best thing to do would be to call him and find out more details of the kinds of audience he has addressed.

3.You also need to enquire about his preferred format of address. His website may say he is a funny motivational orator, but in reality he may be considering serious discourses as his forte. You need to have a candid conversation with him, to actually find out what he is good at.

4.Make sure that you check out his past engagements and take a few references for validations, in order to be doubly sure of hiring the right speaker.

5.The best option is to look for client feedback and testimonials. You could also ask friends and associates about speakers that they would recommend.

One of the funniest inspirational speakers in the US is Doug Dvorak. Known to be one of America’s wittiest motivational talkers, who is capable of handling any situation and audience with lan, Dvorak has vast experience in addressing various types of audiences from almost all walks of life.

MODE of cosmic Therapy: Freeing Ourselves from Intrusively Imposed Established Self-Limiting Morality

In all actuality, who do we talk to the most? Why, ourselves, of course! No one even comes close to the amount of hours we invest in continual uninterrupted inner dialogue. Some of the conversation is meaningful, pertinent, intelligent and relevant but a lot of it is simply gibberish chattering. A lot of it is negative, demoralizing, chastising, condescending, intimidating, and patronizing. We’ve grown quite accustomed to the hum drum insistent buzzing of the infused droned “all the ways we are so “BAD” ‘pecking of word order.’ It gets a little old, tiring, redundant, nauseas, demanding…

We pay very little attention to the comforting, soothing, (everything is alright) ‘still small voice’. Why? Because we’re much too busy; we have things to do, people to see, places to go and [let us not forget], indelible good impressions to make. Our minds are bombarded with useless gobble-d-gook for no other purpose than to lull us to sleep while keeping our hands and feet busily grasping and trotting.

We’re all, supposedly, going somewhere…but, Where? Isn’t it sort of ironically (strangely/relevantly) funny that without the letter “W”, the word ‘here’ is located in the same proximity? There is so much spastic energetic movement in the letter, “W”; in addition to the mirroring of an upside down “M”. I suppose it all depends which way you are headed up or down, huh? Needless to say, it could be there’s such indiscriminate restless motion taking place in the direct vicinity of “HERE” pointing directly to an indication of merited significance. Maybe, a remote possibility exists: electrical charges are being transported (through the blood) in significant unconscious esoteric psychological relevant messages. Could be that the subconscious ‘up and down’ super highway of directing unconscious activity resides within the paradisiacal brain/spinal cord?

In other words, the vibrating “W” if directed on the outside, will lead us astray and away from the inner vault of esoteric wisdom to any ‘where’ but redeeming solace, abiding awareness and indispensable truth. Another more eloquently defined term may be “peace that passes all understanding.” In one way or another, we are all seeking, designed for, manufactured by and imbued with the undeniable need/desire for ‘paradise.’ We undoubtedly believe it, no matter what our religious, spiritual and cultural views embrace.

We innately know that we are part of something so grand it defies the imagination. And, though we may appear to be lacking because of not having attained its mastery, we inherently discern we can not be separated from that which formed and fashioned our essence. We are, Masters Of divine Essence who have simply forgotten our celestial heritage. In doing so, we have also neglected to remember ‘where’ paradise reigns supreme. Did not the great master Jesus proclaim: “the Kingdom of God is within you?” If that be the case, then maybe our sense of incurable desolation and despair originates from having inadvertently thought we lost that sanctified abode in the first place.

The truth is: we do feel alienated, desolate and alone. Try as we might, we’re never fully able to relinquish an abiding sense of guilt, remorse, regret and shame. Why? Because we have definitely lost our connection with our divine self who resides in the deepest part of our gut: way down in the hollow pit, the dark hole, the unmentionable gutter of our human bodies. Now, IF I am not mistaken, there is an identifiable term for that region of prohibited domain: the unconscious.

Unthinkable as the idea may be, we can not be extricated from the most basic part of our brain regulated natures. This foreboding prohibited dungeon encases our precious, though ruthlessly determined soul. It is ‘here’ ‘where’ all manner of perverted distorted vague misrepresented unprocessed sacred sensual sexual artistic compost ‘lies in waiting’ (well, in reality; imprisoned) for transmigration and proper use, application and regeneration. In order to be transfigured back into a deliriously implausible being of elevated light, we must descend into the darkest regions of our soul to set the captive spirit free.

Balance is what we aspire to. Perfect Balance can only be achieved by having experienced both sides and transcended their lure. Emerson said so poignantly: “The height of the sail is dependent upon the base.” (paraphrased) In other words, our idealized ascent is determined and governed by the courage, faith and conviction to descend into the deepest depths of our unknown selves to return liberated. Few would argue or debate that sexuality holds the number one spot in the premeditated race on earth. Since, “Sexuality is the highest form of spirituality available to mankind’, the all-consuming plunge would require an unshakable devotion. Scaling Mt. Everest in flip flops and a tee shirt would be easily and more readily attained.

Why? Because we have so many pre-conceived ideas {thoughts} about sex, its function and ‘where’ its appropriate and proper place should be. Sex holds the number one celebrated spot in inexplicable pleasure’s yacht race. Under no circumstances does it have any intention of releasing the favored decorated title. Another way of stating the same concept; we feel in the wrong about enjoying something so much, so often, so many times. So we invent things: institutions, laws, rules, ethics, and conscience to make it alright to feel good about wanting to engage ‘legal or not’, in sexual pleasure.

Now for the real kicker! Sexual activity is completely innocent. [100% unadulterated untainted pure raw sanctified artistic energy exudes out of every single pore in our bodies.] There is no way to be residing on earth and not be radiating its brilliant effervescent sublime fervor. It’s what makes us and every other living organism exist! So am I saying that the soul is Sexual? You bet your sweet intoxicated ceremony of the most fervent prayers, I am! Sacred Sensual Sexual Artistic Energy pours forth from the soul who resides in the dark unconscious province.

The unconscious is also ‘where’ intuitiveness, psychic ability, spiritual manifestation, and all unspeakable glorious pleasures of mystery reside. The unconscious is totally irreversibly innocent! Blameless, childlike, guileless and unblemished! So how did it get such a bad rap? (Misguided interpretation.) Whose? Ours. Returning to the original principle of where: “W’ “Here”: paradise lost (though separation) and regained (through self-unity) within. To come to earth fully equipped by carrying immeasurable divinity within makes for a remarkably humbling experience. We are literally learning how to be human and the ONLY way to do that is through the sacred sensual innocent sexual artistic energy implanted deep within the unconscious.

We are co-creators with the divine. We are here to create what we will. But we must first overcome our own fixed, biased, polluted ideas about sex, money, power and death. We’ve got it all wrong. We somehow turned the “W” into an outer activity (no grounding) instead of the “M” (preparation) for inner consecration. Once the energy, soul, spirit, innocent sacred sensual sexual artistic force is extracted and set free, by excavating the rare exquisitely beautiful sensually graceful sexually imbued artistic latent talent, (hide not thy talent beneath a bushel) the “M” and “W” will in fact be used as the mirroring vibration to change us all “in a twinkling of an eye.”

Of all the creatures on Earth, only humans imagine they have to alter themselves, bend themselves out of shape, fix themselves in one way or another in order to be “spiritual.”

It’s only humans who want to escape their naturalness, preferring some altered state that has an otherworldly emphasis.

To learn to live joyously, ecstatically, rapturously—and we are not talking about going wild in ways that are dysfunctional and ultimately harm us—isn’t generally why folk go to a church, a temple, a mosque, an ashram. They go in order to in one way or another “straighten themselves out,” whether that be in the form of unburdening themselves of guilt or trying to “toe the line” the way they believe they should.

So much that’s associated with spirituality majors in control, instead of in the ecstatic enjoyment of the adventure of self-discovery.

Having said this, there’s a fundamental difference between control and being responsible.

To be a responsible person, directing our actions in accord with our true being, tends toward increased joy, a deepening love of life, an expanding sense of adventure, and increased originality and creativity.

To be a responsible person tends toward rapture, ecstasy, and celebration.

Control on the other hand suppresses these states. It makes us conform to the bland mediocrity of most people’s mundane lives.

It’s as if something in us utters a giant “No!” to the fullness of life. We resist being ecstatic, rapturous, joyous.

And so we set up all these spiritual paths for the purpose of reinforcing this learned “no” that we utter whenever we are offered a chance to embrace the fullness of life.

Let’s be clear: This “no” isn’t something we come into the world saying. Quite the contrary, we come into the world alive, adventurous, excited, raring to go. We come with the potential of being full participants in all the excitement and rapture life has to offer.

Just take a look at the religion and spirituality of the planet, continent after continent, with billions upon billions of adherents to these various paths. Most human lives when you get right down to it are self-diminishment writ large.

We come from the high origin of bliss, then promptly start reining in that bliss, until in many of us there’s little left by middle age that resembles the incredibly excited, adventurous, joyous, rapturous creature we began life as.

What we’ve got in the name of a great deal of so-called spirituality is a grand display of what Eckhart Tolle calls the collective pain-body.

The theme of so much that goes under the the banner of spiritual seeking is the annihilation of our natural being, our true self, our expression of the infinite Source from which we have sprung.

And the theme of the pain-body is “Be unhappy!”

Authentic spirituality flows in just the opposite direction. Authentic spirituality is all about embracing this moment, as it is, in its total naturalness—embracing who we are in our innate being.

To be spiritual isn’t about some other life, some altered state, some “fix” we are suppose to go through. It isn’t about restricting ourselves.

To be spiritual is to unleash the fullness of our being, right here, right now, in this very moment. It’s to embrace the whole of our experience as a manifestation of the divine Presence.

Did you know that most great people have attained their greatest success just one step beyond their greatest failure. And that was due to the fact that they persevered. We must always remember to keep our thoughts at a positive level, because if you remember, you attract to your life whatever you give your attention, energy and focus to, whether wanted or unwanted. So we want to insure to attract the positive circumstances we desire in our lives by focusing and concentrating our thoughts on those things we hope for.

We all must take personal responsibility. We may not be able to immediately change the circumstances in our lives, the seasons, or the wind, but we can change ourselves. That is something we have charge of. We can beging to gradually change our circumstances by focusing on the type of life we wish to live and the ideal surroundings accompanying them. But we need to understand that these things take time, persistance and perseverance.

Faith – Let us always have faith in the things and conditions we hope for. Faith that all the things and circumstances we desire will be ours. Let us never give in to doubt or fears, about the outcome of our efforts. Believe that you will achieve your desired goals and put forth constant effort toward their attainment.

Purpose – Set your sights daily on a definite purpose and center your efforts unwaveringly upon it. Dedicate your actions and focus on the things you need and want and take the necessary action which wil attract those things and conditions toward you. “You attract to your life whatever you give your attention, energy and focus to, whether wanted or unwanted.”

Gratitude. Be forever grateful for all the blessings of the day. No matter how things may seem at times, there is a blessing laying underneath every episode of our lives. Be grateful that you are alive and able to perform the efforts toward achieving your desires. Give thanks daily. Just remember that no matter how badly you may think things are going for you, there is always someone somewhere who has it much worse.

The trouble with concentration is, the more we think orworry just concentration, the to a lesser extent we really concentrate on the lobor at hand.

That’s why a lot of strategies to ameliorate concentration ordinarily glide path it indirectly, by focal point on the voiding of distractions etc.

And a serious-minded analysis of what distracts your concentration will oft bespeak to you the near effective course of action for improving it.

Never allow yourself to overtop the fact that whatever action you are occupied in, it doesn’t subject how prominent or small this action may be – the act of concentration and attention is as well tortuous.

Concentration Can Be Developed Through with completely Kinds Of Activities…

And the simplicity and flawlessness of any action can be gained by repeating. When the mind is passive and open, you naturally destination issues one at a time.

It’s also equally truthful to say that, if you bound yourself to doing or just thinking some one affair at a time – you will chance that the mind, in turn – bit by bit develops lucidness and with this increased concentration and will power.

To grow the power of concentration we mustiness practice the shutting out of entirely distracting thoughts and impressions from our minds.

The nigh significant part is to focal point positively on one-thing-at-a-time and to avoid thinking of other matter that may distract or divert you.

The concentration of entirely your care is an important part towards the maturation and also the authoritative of your subconscious mind powers.

When totally the forces are focused on a single target or state of cognizance…

The person who can do this has concentration, has the power of care, and the person who hasn’t yet developed this concentration power must grow it in front they can desire to focussing their powers of the mind toward anything they neediness or trust.

So as you can see, the concentration and focus of completely your attention is not merely an authoritative part of your subconscious mind power…

It’s a large component part of it, as nothing outstanding or authoritative can be accomplish without your power of concentration!

They Know How To Focus On Blessings

by Michael D. Hume, M.S.

It was a hot, muggy night years ago, and we were rehearsing a professional “workshop” musical in a long-vacant warehouse building in Denver. It was that phase of the rehearsal period in which we had to go over the crowd scenes – nobody’s favorite part. You stand around in clusters for hours, waiting for instructions, waiting for each scene’s principal performers to “get it” to the director’s satisfaction. That night, as even pro actors often do, we started acting like children.

The kids you went to school with who grew up to be musical theatre performers, well, those kids were the funniest, most clever, most creative kids in your school. They did voices. They did awesome impressions. They made up great jokes on-the-spot, with lightning-fast wit, wonderful timing, and impeccable delivery. In short, they were very entertaining. And by the time they’d become adults, they’d honed their ability to entertain to a fine art, learning in great measure by practicing on each other.

So you can imagine what it’s like when you get, say, 20 or 30 of these folks together in a sweaty warehouse, standing around in clusters, bored. You’re supposed to be quiet, but that just adds another layer of challenge. How quietly can I crack up the other people in my group? How hard can I laugh without making any noise?

I was part of the problem that evening, more than I was part of the solution. During the scenes in which I was one of the principals, I took care of business, got my movements and instructions down, and tried as best I could to facilitate the group’s opportunity to move on to the next scene. But in scenes during which I was just a “villager,” another face in the onstage crowd, I joined right in with the misbehavior. What began as whispering soon became quiet speaking, accompanied by some laughing, then more loud laughing, and finally the din in that hall was deafening.

You see, it didn’t matter to any of us that the producers had invested their life savings in us, and in the workshop of this world-premier show. It didn’t matter how much it had cost them to rent this lousy rehearsal space, hire the musicians to accompany us, dress us in elaborate costumes, or even how much they’d agreed to pay us. We wanted to get the boring stuff over with and get out of there (possibly moving our shenanigans to a nearby watering hole for after-rehearsal food and drink). We were, to varying degrees but to some extent all of us, in it for our own personal amusement.

The producers had even hired and flown out from New York, at no small expense, a “real” Broadway director to lead us. Funny, but none of us were all that impressed with David when we first met him. He was our age, pretty much, with long hair and a very casual sense of dress. This guy was the world-class directing talent we’d heard so much about? He looked like what he was: another actor, another overgrown child, just like the rest of us. But by the end of our first week in his production, every one of us had come to respect David as a consummate pro, and certainly by the evening of crowd scenes we admired him greatly.

David was a true inspirational leader, and the way he handled our tomfoolery on crowd scene night was a perfect example of how he used his appreciation (and his ability to bring a sense of appreciation out of each of us) as a central tool in his leadership arsenal.

As I recall, we were working one of my principal scenes, so for the moment I was feeling kinda self-righteous in the knowledge that other people were acting up more than I was. David was giving instructions, never raising his volume louder than a moderate speaking voice. At one point, when it finally became too loud to hear him, and he tired of repeating himself, he just smiled and stopped talking. He looked around the room, like an elementary teacher does, waiting for the chatter to cease.

“Oh boy,” I remember thinking, “Now we’re gonna get it. He’s gonna lose his cool and yell at us.” This was probably what all of us expected, since every other director with whom we’d ever worked has a little breakdown – usually right around that crowd-scene point in the rehearsal schedule – and yells at the cast. We started to hang our heads in anticipatory shame.

But David’s voice was soft, clear, and even upbeat.

“I know,” he said, “I know. This is boring. I mean, who doesn’t hate crowd-scene rehearsals? I think I hate it more than anyone. In fact, if a director dies and goes to Hell, I’m sure he is told he’s to direct ‘An Evening Of Crowd Scenes’ for all eternity.”

We laughed. Like us, David was very entertaining when he wanted to be.

“So look, I’m not gonna yell at you. I just want to remind you of one thing. We had auditions for this workshop about three weeks ago, and we got about three thousand resumes, and then we heard about 300 people read and sing for the parts you all have.”

We all got very still… he had our undivided attention. Every one of us, I’m sure, was remembering the stress of the audition process for this prestigious production, and the exhilaration of being cast.

“Also, you may not know this, but they interviewed a lot of directors before I was lucky enough to get this gig, and come out here, and enjoy this wonderful city and these beautiful mountains, and all that.”

You could see us shifting our weight from foot to foot, listening intently.

“So there are, I don’t know, a couple dozen REALLY good directors out there who would love to be running this rehearsal right now, crowd scenes and all, but they don’t get to do it, because I’m the one who got the job.

“And it also means that for every crowd scene, for every costume change, for every time you have to move a set piece or keep track of a prop, there are at least a hundred good actors out there who’d love to have the privilege of doing that costume change or moving that set piece… or even standing through this boring rehearsal… but they don’t get to do it. Those hundred people don’t get to do it, because we chose you to do it. And you practically begged us to choose you.”

David let about ten seconds of silence go by.

“So, are we a lucky bunch, or what? We’re very blessed, very privileged, and let’s none of us ever forget it.”

After about ten more silent seconds, David repeated his last instruction to the principals, and the rehearsal moved on. And from that point forward, it was the most efficient, most brief, most “professional” crowd scene rehearsal I remember ever taking part in.

It’s funny; as I write this, I can hear my more cynical side claiming we’d been manipulated by a skilled communicator that evening. But I sure don’t remember feeling manipulated at the time, nor did I ever hear one of my colleagues say anything about David’s brief speech but that it blew them away. It was a good reminder, and everyone in the room – including David himself – needed it at just that moment.

I remember that story often when I’m coaching talented business leaders. It’s easy to forget how fortunate you are to have the position you have, and sometimes you need to stop for ten silent seconds and just remember how you felt when you landed this job. How many other good leaders would love to have the chance to put up with the parts of your job you don’t like… but don’t have that opportunity because you have it instead?

Whatever you might find yourself griping about, even if it’s just simple boredom, you live in an age in which you can change it. If you live in the United States, you are even more fortunate to live in a free country where you have even greater opportunities. Think about it… if you hate your job, you can change it. You can even start your own business, and replace your income working at home (I did). If you hate your body, you can change it by going on a “health kick” and developing a few simple habits to give yourself more energy and vitality. If you don’t like your government, you can change it at the ballot box.

Don’t get sucked into the cynical, mean-spirited misbehavior of your own personal crowd scene. Remember that you have a lot of good stuff of which you should be appreciative, and that whatever bad stuff you have to endure, if you really want to, you can change it. Take personal responsibility, and stand out from the crowd.
